OPTIONAL: Check Connection Time

Socket’s software includes a control panel applet that lets you quickly view

the modem connection’s time elapsed. This applet appears only if you have

an active connection via the 56K Modem Card.

1. Tap on the modem status icon in the task tray.

2. A screen will appear similar to the one below, reporting the connection

time.

OPTIONAL: Set up Advanced Networking

Follow these guidelines to set up a dial-up connection for a RAS server:

1. Complete the Network Information Form on the next page.

2. While making a new connection in Step 5, in the phone number screen,

tap on Advanced Settings.

3. Disregard the next screen and tap

4. Use the next screen to enter any necessary IP addresses.

4. If using DHCP, you can probably keep the default settings.

Tap Finish.

"# If NOT using DHCP, uncheck Auto-detect to enter any necessary

IP addresses, then tap Finish.
